In honor of Tuthill's first patent on August 26, 1892, Tuthill decided to name August 26 as the official "Aliveness Day." To celebrate this new holiday, the company kicked off a Spirit Week. Tuthill Clearwater, Alsip, Springfield, Fort Wayne and Burr Ridge each participated with more than 700 employees. Monday was Made in America Day. Employees proudly wore their red, white and blue apparel to recognize American manufacturing. Tuesday, people wore sports teams' colors. Wednesday was Wacky Sock day. Thursday was the official Aliveness Day where the employees cut a Tuthill 125 birthday cake and wore clothing that was wild and different, sparking aliveness. Friday was a Tuthill gear day where people wore their favorite Wake the World t-shirts and Tuthill hats. The week invited a powerful aliveness that continues to trickle throughout the Tuthill manufacturing world and into our products. Below are photos from Tuthill's various locations participating in Spirit Week.
